I'm a member on several promotion sites which I assume most members here are and many of them offer a review service...

Now in movies they will often advertise using '****' The Times or 'Outstanding movie' The Sun

Do you think now applying it to forums, on your forum or in your advertising and sigs that writing given 'blah' by this forum or 'this forum is blah' by that forum would be an interesting way to promote your forum or at least make it appear better

Well sometimes a basic graphic with your forums name can do the trick but usually it is better to have some kind of fake stat or slogan. The idea of having almost having critics for your forum is a cool idea. If anyone ever comments on your board while it's offline you should just put it on the message "And the critics rave. "awesome idea for a forum" <forum name that someone said this on> "I know all be there" etc etc
