Title: If you found a wallet on the street...

pacmansays - August 10, 2008 10:33 PM (GMT)
What would you do?

I would honeslty, most likely take the cash out of it and hand the wallet with credit cards and personal details back....

Ladyknuckles - August 10, 2008 10:48 PM (GMT)
If it has numbers of the owner, I'll call them and ask me to meet them somewhere for me to give them their belongs back. Because GOD knows I would want my stuff back.

Bluezone777 - August 10, 2008 11:41 PM (GMT)
If I could id the owner then I would give everything back but if I couldn't then I take the cash and toss the rest.

^^Same.

Yea, Like BZ said, can't find the owner, take the cash and shread up the credit card(s) if any because it would be bad if someone else found the credit card(s). Bad on the original owner's part and if they are still active

True, but only on a lonely street, if there were loads of people round, they might all be grabbing for it

You can return credit cards too.

MikeSwim07 - August 25, 2008 12:14 PM (GMT)
Maybe. I'm not sure.

Killer - September 14, 2008 12:08 AM (GMT)
Depends on how I feel. Majority of the time I would take the money. I'm 15 and I don't have a job, so.....

But if I'm in a nice mood, or trying to impress someone I'll turn it in.

washedmemories - September 14, 2008 01:10 AM (GMT)
Even if I couldn't find the owner, i would not take it at all. Too much of a guilty conscience.

Eddy - September 14, 2008 01:17 AM (GMT)
Depends on who was around and how much was there. I woudln't feel guilty about, say 20 dollars, but if there was $200 or something in there I wouldn't feel right. If anyone saw me pick it up I think i'd have to hand it in as well :P

Gaara - September 14, 2008 06:35 AM (GMT)
Take all the money and feel sorry for the poor sucker who lost his wallet. Sorry, but im sure there are plenty of people who just "happend" to lose it. >.<

xBifnepasu - September 14, 2008 07:35 AM (GMT)
Hand it ALL in.
I couldn't live with taking everything.
Also I know first hand what it's like to have to replace all the cards in your wallet. It sucks. >.<

Darkshadowz. - October 12, 2008 03:00 PM (GMT)
I'd give all the cards etc. back but take any cash.

Honest answer.

Mistake - October 21, 2008 08:26 PM (GMT)
In truth, I don't think most of you are being truthful.

For example :

E.g; You find a wallet which contains $800 Dollars, a MasterCard, a Visa, & The Owner's License. What do you do?

A. Take the money, and return a ripped up wallet and charge the MasterCard and Visa to seem like a thief stole his money.

B. Take the money and don't look back.

C. Return it all, it's not mine in the first place, I'm sure I'd like somebody to return all of my stuff if I lost it!

D. Try to return it to the owner, if that fails, I'll make sure I turn it in to the local police station!

In truth, how many of you selected A, and B?

* I chose E, which stands for "1 in a Million that I'll actually find a wallet with money in it, I'm unlucky  !"*

Big Boss - October 31, 2008 09:03 PM (GMT)
I would take the cash, and mail the wallet or something. If not, then I would think about giving it to the police or something.

Hatori - November 9, 2008 12:27 PM (GMT)
Honest answer, I'll take the wallet, give it if I could contact the owner. But if it's ownerless or if no identification can be found, I take it all... The credit card will just have to go to our farthest trash can XD.

I would do the same as BZ said but in my country where I live people never have id's in their wallets not even a picture so it would be very difficult, not to say impossible, to find the owner.

Cranos - November 10, 2008 11:36 AM (GMT)
Take out the money and then I'll hand over the wallet to the police. Can't be bothered calling the owner and meeting him, takes too much time.

Sariki - November 10, 2008 11:18 PM (GMT)
Honestly I would just give up the wallet.
It's hard too be honest these days, but someone has too be you know what I mean?
