Title: PC vs. Mac
rockon1824 - July 15, 2008 03:22 PM (GMT)
Which type of computing system do you prefer?
I've always liked PCs, I've found them more user friendly. The Macs I've used all seem to try to be "sleek," sacrificing usability in the process.

PC, I've never used a Mac as far as I can remember.
Typewriter - July 27, 2008 05:30 AM (GMT)
Mac all the way. Windows suck.
Bioshox - July 27, 2008 07:51 AM (GMT)
Your All Retards :P :P XDXD (Joke)
But No Seriously.
A Macintosh Is Still A Personal Computer
A Windows Is Too A Personal Computer
A Linux Is Too A Personl Computer
So Therfore The Title And Pole Of This Should Be
Microsoft Windows Vs Apple Macintosh
----
Id proberbly choose Windows, due to the fact its more user freinds, more applications, better use, all round better use
A mac has nothing i want, everthing is more hasstle to get
So i hate people that say MAC BECUSZ WINDPWS IS ALL BUGGY N STUGX
Well no its not.
It cannot be all buggy and stuff
Yeah new O/S What can you expect 4 years or so of work though?
If microsoft own something like 95% of computer market, how can they be so bad?
So dont come talking out your arse saying Windows is crap and all buggy.
Go figure out what your talking about first!

I smell debate :smirk:
If they own 95% of the market one reason could be that they have the cash to buy out everyone else thus getting a monopoly so they can do whatever they want. Just because something is bigger and more well known doesn't necessarily make it better. The biggest reason they're so big is because they were among the first to enter the market (I'm not 100% sure about computer history tho).
I've used Microsoft my entire life and it is all buggy and stuff, but that's what the service packs are for. At least they're fixing the issues (most issues) to make the customers happy.
I'm actually starting to look at getting Linux on a computer just to try it because it looks really hot.
Bioshox - July 27, 2008 10:00 AM (GMT)
I dont disagree with what your saying, although Microsoft are big enough to know what they are doing, and a few little bugs is nothing if it saves you time and money
Right?

Umm Linux is free and is great from what I've heard.
A windows license costs a lot, so I don't agree on the saving money part :P
Still one reason that Microsoft is so big is probably because they're what people are used too, most people don't like changing to a different brand so they can't know if there's something better out there cheaper and with kickass quality.
Besides windows have a tendency to crash a lot (at least for my dad and brother, don't ask me what they do XD ). It haven't crashed for me personally though, but I know a few that have had huge problems with it.

Technically, a mac is a PC (personal computer).
pacmansays - August 7, 2008 02:11 PM (GMT)
Well i got a mac two years ago for the first time ever and i have to say i've fallen in love with the system...
It is much more sleek than a PC, and the design looks great...
I can navigate round my computer a lot easier than i can on a PC which is often longwinded...
I am almost invulnerable to any virus, i have had no protection and i've been sent viruses before. None of them have worked against a mac
Most of the programs are preferrable to PC (but i'm creative type)
The only fault i have with my mac is that it's hard often to get games or programs as a lot are for Windows only, like i have MSN but mac version lacks cam and microphone...
But once you go mac, you never go back...
My sixth form has brought in some macs in certain departments and a lot of the students are swinging mac side

Mac is for graphical interface, PC is built tough for work
carsonk - August 7, 2008 09:48 PM (GMT)
I use Windows, but I'd prefer to use a Mac if I could. They are just expensive.
timster0 - August 10, 2008 07:24 PM (GMT)
Macs own PC's. Windows vista sucks. I like Macs cuz they are built better, last longer, work faster, have a better OS, and look nicer than PC's.

LOL 'better' 'longer' 'faster'
Sounds like Daft Punk

Macs I use at school and they blow PC's right out of the water.
Kino - September 2, 2008 07:21 PM (GMT)
PC because that's what I was brought up with and it never gave me any problems.
Jayman. - September 7, 2008 03:34 AM (GMT)
PC, I've always used them and they look the best IMO.
Angie - September 8, 2008 07:45 PM (GMT)
I voted PC cause that's what I have :P
Rob - September 8, 2008 11:38 PM (GMT)
PC, more power for gaming.
ruziko - September 9, 2008 03:42 PM (GMT)
PC. Mac is more design orientated.
RŐckStár™ - September 9, 2008 03:44 PM (GMT)
Mac is one of the worst excuses for a computer there is. They were created for the soul purpose of being simple, simple enough for retards to use. Hence they should only be used by people who tend to fall into that category.
Filo - September 10, 2008 12:42 AM (GMT)
PC is really good in my opinion it's one of the best. I don't use Mac that much as I use to but it's not to bad.

it's cause they're cheaper, macs are more expensive, because they're faster and better and they're applications are better, like iPhoto, GarageBand, PhotoBooth and so on
washedmemories - September 11, 2008 01:46 AM (GMT)
Never was a fan of mac either way
FaithLeader - September 11, 2008 04:05 AM (GMT)
PC is the most used one..
Pulsë - September 11, 2008 05:53 AM (GMT)
I worked with both Macs and Window. I kinda like both. Both have their downfall.
Eddy - September 11, 2008 06:47 AM (GMT)
I like Macs because I'm used to them.
Windows is just as good though, all OS have pros and cons.
froggyboy604 - September 14, 2008 09:59 PM (GMT)
I prefer a computer that runs on windows since they are easy to use and maintain. I would use linux if it have more games for it and is compatible with more filetypes.
panzer228 - September 16, 2008 03:43 AM (GMT)
I used to use Mac until I started using a PC...
