Thoughts/Views/Comments?


The only 2 forums I have them on is MadAds and IFSZ. Ifsz I have a dancing leprechaun. On MadAds, I just have someone dancing. I can't be annoyed with them.

They aren't important but can help people identity you by them.

hell I remember somewhere that had this guy who was using an avatar I use( the one I am using now actually) and someone thought that person was me. XD

My two avatars that I used most often are the dramatic prairie dog one which was the top viral video of 2007 and the benny the super cop one.

I get a lot of comments about both avatars when I post welcome topics in forums that I join.

Yea, I see the one about the murder (your current avatar) and I go "Hey its bluezone" I look at the username and its not XD. I'll be scrolling through posts and reconize people by their avatar or their signature.

I change it when I remember too or if I have anything new to change it too.

When I have a new avatar I always change all of my account's avatar when I can.. :#.. It's kinda like important for me because it will also give me my own personality and uniqueness.

They aren't important. Just used as recognation.

I don't even put one on half the time...

On all other forums besides mokata, i use a mokata one. Advertise everywhere ;)

Well, I try to remember to put an avatar on since, well, for people to be able to recognize me. :) I've found myself basing a person's personality on an avatar which is wrong, of course. But I tend to do that. Don't know why though.

I think avatars are important I usually use fun ones from stargate or ones I make myself. I'm not sure if people recognize me via my avatar because I change it a lot and have different one on different forums.

Madgal yours describes you as hyperactive and mad XD I dunno that's how I see it...

I think their important as it makes people relate themselves more to the poster and gives them an identity. So, ya... :)

Yes, because its quicker to identify a forum member than to read the actual user name.

Very important. I'm never change my avatar..except 1 time recently so I've only had 2 avatars since I've started forums and 1 username. If a person gets a username change you could still tell them apart by their avatar unless that person changes their avatar a lot too. And an avatar sort of gives you your personality. d:

On the wrestling sites I go to, I have an John Cena Banner/Avatar set which of course sends it back to my forum.

Other than that, I really don't use an avatar on any forum unless I find something I really love. For an while I used an some Lil Wayne one, I can't even remember what image it was.

Edit: I'm using this avatar for now on... Unless I find an better Lil Wayne one sometime down the road.

Avatars are great, they help to identify people.

It's great for people to have avatars/sigs, I don't really differentiate the two. Like Eddy says, it helps you identify the person by personality and tastes. It's not a hardcore essential, though..>_>

I barely ever use an avatar, to be honest! I suppose I'd better start. :P

Well my one promotes my forum so I guess it's quite important to me.

I think you are referring to sigs as avatars are the small image that shows up under your name like the dramatic prairie dog one that I have on here.
