Is it just me.. but do some of you think that pro players get paid TOO much? Seriously.. I personally think they are complaining about nothing, there are jobs that do MORE for us that get paid less.. think.. of school teachers? Look at how much they are paid (not college teachers that is, I don't know what college teachers get paid.. like elem teachers/pre school teachers.. Pre-Highschool, for those who don't go by the US schooling, where you reach your highest level in edu. before colege/uni.. then again, I'm looking at what a teacher gets paid around here)! What use is watching hockey/football/sports?.. Entertainment or Education?

Education owns! I feel that teachers out of everyone in the work force should get paid for what they do. If it wasn't for them teaching us the basics and advance, there would be no doctors, firefighters, designers of any trade, architects, and we may all end up seating here like a bunch og ignorant monkies.

Athletes should get payed but not that much.

Entertainment of course. Most people find education boring (including me). Above that, pro players actually have a talent. Some of them do get paid too much, but they should be paid a lot more than teachers.

Education may be boring, but if it wasn't for it, most of those Pro Athletes wouldn't be where they are today, and no shouldn't be payed alot more than Teachers.

Completely agree. Professional Sports people really do get over paid, Ive thought this a thousand times, but its not going to change anytime soon, is it? It does my head in that just because you are good at sports you should be paid hundred of thousands £ whereas some who's good at... teaching, like your example, is paid so little. Obviously teaching you have a syllabus, but you still have to know the stuff to be a good teacher. I would prefer it if things like this were changed, but I know they wont.

What you don't understand is that pro athletes can only work for a few years. It's not healthy how they push their bodies to the limits and they often feel as if they're twice as old as they normally are. Who would want to feel that bad for that little money?
I agree that they're paid too much and that teachers should be paid more. I don't agree that teachers should be paid as much as pro athletes. Being a teacher is not that hard and they get incredibly much vacation compared to other jobs.

They CHOOSE to go that way, so really.. so what its not healthy? They took that risk? I don't think it means they should be paid much more. Teachers should get paid abit more.. but I know not as much as pro athletes.. but hmm, you think what you want. Teaching is easier to do then others.. before I go off topic.

They wouldn't choose to go that way if it was paid a lot less. That's my point. No one wrecks his/her body for an average loan. They do do amazing jobs and have extraordinary talents. But like I said twice already, I agree that they're paid too much. I still think they should be paid A LOT more than teachers.
